trenddjakarta.com, Indonesia-Karawang based post-hardcore band People Sweet have released the lyric video for their latest single, “Final Destination,” following a unique rollout through virtual gigs on ROBLOX.
Instead of relying on traditional stages, the band introduced the track through a series of online events. Including Synerblox, Stout and Stone, a 7-map charity event with Digital Hands Collective, Underground Hysteria v2, and Selasar Collective. The approach brought strong engagement and showed how digital spaces are becoming part of today’s music ecosystem.
“Roblox gigs are fun. You get to discover bands from different cities that you wouldn’t normally come across,” said bassist Almah.
Originally shared as an exclusive within the Roblox-based community under Bvckle Smiggle Synthesis, “Final Destination” is now officially available in lyric video form on YouTube as of April 13, 2026 at 1 PM. The visual keeps the band’s identity intact—heavy and aggressive, but balanced with a subtle “sweet” aesthetic.
Facing the Inevitable in “Final Destination”
“Final Destination” explores themes of death, time, and accountability, inspired by imagery of the end of life and the Day of Judgment in the Qur’an. The song reflects a mix of fear and awareness—fear of being unprepared, and awareness that time continues to move forward. It paints a picture of collapse and revelation: the world ending, humanity returning, and every action being exposed.
More than that, it captures a personal state of mind, feeling stuck, anxious, and uncertain about the future.
“Some people think this is just about death. For me, it’s about realizing you’re not really living,” said vocalist Ekal.
“I wrote this during a phase where I felt stuck—chasing validation and delaying things that actually mattered.”
A More Refined Sound
Musically, “Final Destination” presents a tighter and more developed sound. The track combines aggressive guitar work with layered arrangements, creating a dynamic
structure that shifts throughout.
The single was recorded, mixed, and mastered at JFHPRODS. Lyrics were written by Ekal and Muhammad Taufik Maulana, with music composed by Trisna and Taufik. The artwork was created by Anggar Menyan, while the visuals were handled by Dikri Assidiqi (Mamangco).
Finding Their Direction
Formed in 2015, People Sweet initially explored a more pop-punk sound in early releases like “Memori Kelam.” Over time, they moved closer to their post-hardcore roots.
Their shift became more defined with “Trauma” in 2024, followed by “Parade Ego” in 2025, which gained wider attention. Now, with their current lineup—Ekal (vocals), Trisna (guitar), Almah (bass), and Doyok (drums)—the band continues to push forward with a clearer identity.
A Reminder to Actually Live
At its core, “Final Destination” is about time—how limited it is, and how often it’s taken for granted. The track is now available on Bandcamp, along with its lyric video on Youtube @peoplesweetofficial.
