For Vertu Harmoni Jakarta, Wastraloka is part of its effort to present batik from a more contemporary perspective that resonates with today’s lifestyle, while celebrating the creativity of those who continue to reinterpret and preserve Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
“We created Wastraloka as an appreciation of batik and Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage, particularly in celebration of National Batik Day. We want to demonstrate that batik can be expressed through various experiences, from fashion and culinary arts to art and lifestyle. Through collaborations with creative talents and communities, we hope Wastraloka can become a space that brings together creativity and people in a meaningful and inclusive experience.” Said Roman Soleh, Director of Marketing and Communication, Vertu Hotel Harmoni Jakarta.
