In response, UT moved quickly to implement an emergency response as a demonstration of the company’s concern. And commitment to supporting the affected communities.
As an initial step, UT set up tents and opened a refugee camp in front of UT Corporate University on January 18, 2026. This refugee camp was used by residents of RW 04, Rawa Terate Village. That who were affected by the flood and had to evacuate for safety. UT also di stributed logistical assistance and ready-to-eat food to local residents. Including residents of RW 06 and RW 01, West Cakung.
These flood mitigation efforts have received support and attention from various parties. The UT evacuation post received a visit from the Deputy for Logistics and Equipment of the National Di saster Management Agency (BNPB), Dra. Andi Eviana, M.Si., and the Mayor of East Jakarta, Munjirin, S.Sos., M.Si. That who di rectly inspected the conditions on the ground. During its implementation, the UT-assisted Di saster Resilient Village (KATANA) team played an active role in managing the evacuation post, di stributing logistics. And implementing emergency response procedures in a coordinated manner.
As a continuation of the emergency response, UT also provided free healthcare services to affected residents. In collaboration with UT’s Primary Clinic. Free health checks and treatment through the United Tractors Mobile Clinic program were held on January 21, 2026, in front of UT’s Corporate University. These services included general health checks, medical consultations, and the provision of medication. With a focus on vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and pregnant women, to prevent potential post-flood illnesses.
On the other hand, strengthening community-based preparedness is also reflected in the active role of KATANA Rawa Terate, assisted by UT. When flooding occurred again on January 22, 2026. The KATANA team moved quickly to monitor the area, coordinate internally. And open a public kitchen to ensure residents’ basic needs were met. Armed with disaster preparedness training with UT, the KATANA team was able to carry out emergency procedures swiftly, in a focused manner. And also based on a spirit of mutual cooperation.
